1. Wall preparation
Prime the prepared wall with deep penetrating primer at least 24 hours in advance. Remember that the wall should be degreased and free of dust.
2. Preparation of the wallpaper
Prepare the wallpaper strips in the correct order. Check if the pattern fits.
3. Marking of vertical lines
Mark a vertical line on the wall along which the first strip of wallpaper will be glued. A plumb line or a spirit level will be helpful.
4. Applying glue.
Apply a thin layer of glue to the wall with a paint roller or brush. Remember to do it in stages, each time cover a wider area of the wall than the width of the glued strip.
5. Sticking the first strip
Stick the first strip of wallpaper. Remember to stay vertical and leave 5 cm of space both at the top and at the bottom of the wall. You can remove the stock at the end of gluing with a knife.
6. Removal of inequalities
Use a squeegee to remove unevenness and air bubbles.
7. Gluing subsequent strips
Glue subsequent strips of wallpaper, always start gluing from the top. Check that the stripes meet evenly to maintain the uniformity of the pattern.
8. Pressing the contacts
Use a roller or a soft cloth to press down on the stripe contacts. The dirt on the cloth is natural, it does not result from the discoloration of the wallpaper. Wipe off the excess glue on a regular basis. It cannot dry on the wallpaper.
9. Cleaning and joining the stripes.
Remove air bubbles with a squeegee and a damp cloth / soft sponge. Press down on the joining of the panels with a hard roller.
10. Crop margins
Use a knife to trim the top and bottom margins of the wallpaper, according to the dimensions of the wall. Remove any excess glue with a slightly damp clean sponge before the glue dries. Do not rub the wallpaper or use chemicals to clean it.
